Street dance

What is it?

This is a new class for September 2019 open to all pupils, boys and girls, in years 7 to 9. It has been inspired by a very successful after-school club that I have been running for several years at St John’s Primary School, Sevenoaks. Having been begged many times to provide a continuation class for those moving on to secondary school it has finally arrived! If you are in year 7,8 or 9 at secondary school then this class is for you! No experience necessary, come and give it a try.

FAQ

What is this class like?

We do a couple of warm-ups, followed by technique – learning steps, practising isolations, turns, kicks etc. Then each week we learn part of a routine which builds throughout the term.

What should I wear?

Comfortable, flexible clothing. Gym gear is fine, or shorts/leggings and a t-shirt. Trainers on your feet please. Don’t forget to bring some water too!

Can I try it out before committing?

Yes of course, feel free to come along and give it a go. Your first class is not charged if you decide not to continue.

What does it cost?

This class is charged per term, in advance. It is based on a fee of £6/class, so depending on the number of weeks in the term you will be charged accordingly.

Will there be a performance?

I hope to be able to find performing opportunities for this group once it is established. We will have an open class once a term for parents to come along and watch and see what the students have been learning.

When is it?

Wednesdays, 6:15 - 7:15pm Check calendar for dates.
